Sustainable financing of Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean

In 2015, Vertigo Lab carried out a study on the sustainable financing of marine protected areas in the Mediterranean for the association MEDPAN (Association of Marine Protected Area Managers), CAR / SPA and WWF MedPO. For example, the report estimated that only 8% of the financial needs to ensure the effectiveness of MPA management, and thus the achievement of their conservation objectives, were covered by current budgetary resources.
