Nicolas Clavaud

Nicolas was educated as a development economist at the Clermont-Ferrand School of Economics, associated to the CERDI laboratory. During his studies, he dedicated himself to environmental matters, both in France and abroad. His academic background has enabled him to acquire the necessary skills to understand sustainable development issues and to choose the right economic policies to implement. Nicolas joined Vertigo Lab in 2022 and his topics are, among other things, the evaluation of ecosystem services and food resilience.

Amira Hamieh

Amira is currently a Master’s student in Economics with a specialisation in « Econometrics, Big Data and Statistics » at Aix Marseille School of Economics (AMSE). Before joining Vertigo Lab in 2023, she had the occasion to explore various statistical Machine Learning algorithms, which she applied to numerous qualitative and quantitative Economics projects using Python libraries. At Vertigo Lab, she uses her skills to evaluate the socio-economic and environmental impacts of various methods using Machine Learning algorithms.

Jean-Christophe Martin

Jean-Christophe holds a PhD thesis on the socio-economic evaluation of greenhouse gas emission reduction policy of the Aquitaine regional council in the University of Bordeaux. During his different post-doctoral studies, he worked on the different economic-environmental models (e.g., input-output analysis, computable general equilibrium model), environmental-economic accounting and the economic tools for decision-making (cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-benefit analysis, multicriteria analysis). His research focuses on the development of economic tools in order to facilitate the decision-making. He has joined Vertigo Lab since July 2016 to develop new economic tools, linked to the issue of circular economy, ecological transition, and local footprints.

Anthony Ruiz

Anthony is graduated with a master’s degree in environmental economics from the Toulouse School of Economics. Anthony worked as policy analyst at the Climate Economics Chair (University of Paris Dauphine-PSL) and at the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE) for two years. Thanks to his academic experience, he has developed an expertise in impact evaluation of environmental public policies. Anthony has joined Vertigo Lab in 2021 and works on various themes as biodiversity, nature-based solutions, food resilience and participates to research and development activities.

Clémentine Anglada

Graduated in 2011 with a Master’s degree in Applied Economics Specializing in Environmental Risk Management from the University of Rouen, Clementine quickly specialised in water issues. She started her career assisting companies in developing actions and strategies towards a better integration of the water resource. Clémentine then settled for 4 years in Australia where she specifically worked as an economist for the Water Ministry in Victoria. She developed water efficiency programs and facilitated working groups with water authorities aiming at water planning towards dry and drought events. She joined Vertigo Lab in May 2019 to reinforce the team on the study of public and environmental policy tools, economic evaluation, environmental forecasting, biodiversity issues and ecosystem services.

Amélie Colle

Amélie holds a double master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Politics from Sciences Po Paris and the University of Pierre and Marie Curie. Amélie worked for the environmental think tank La Fabrique Ecologique and the biodiversity consultancy Gondwana in Paris. She joined Vertigo Lab in February 2016 to work on the strategic support of public and private actors: les Vignerons de Buzet, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, etc. Its field of expertise includes the analysis of environmental and socio-economic impacts, carrying out feasibility studies and project management. Its areas of intervention range from biomimicry to territorial development, including agriculture and the blue economy. For example, Amélie recently worked on the subject of Payments for Environmental Services (PES) for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food; and carried out a study on the blue economy in Guyana. Finally, Amélie regularly leads workshops and multi-stakeholder working meetings.

Juliette Yeh

Juliette has an interdisciplinary bachelor of sciences, and a dual master degree in environmental science and policy co-hosted by Sciences Po Paris and Sorbonne Université. Before joining VertigoLab in February 2023, Juliette worked on energy transition and sobriety at Orange, and on reducing plastic utilisation by companies in order to prevent plastic pollution with ConsultantSeas. Now part of VertigoLab, Juliette works on agrifood systems transition and environmental impact assessment.

Christophe Picamilh

Christophe received a master’s degree in environmental engineering in 2016, which he completed with a double master’s degree in environmental science and policy from Sciences Po Paris and Sorbonne University. Before joining Vertigo Lab in 2020, Christophe worked as a project engineer at SAFEGE and for two years at Technopolis group. As a specialist in public policy evaluation, Christophe works on a variety of issues related to biodiversity, agriculture, mobility, research and innovation.

Victor Bourdeaud’hui

Victor received a master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Ecole Polytechnique, which he completed with a master’s degree in Environmental Economics and Prospective Modelling at AgroParisTech. Before joining Vertigo Lab in 2023, Victor wrote a master thesis at the CIRAD about the governance of water related ecosystem services and their impact on local conflict in a Peruvian watershed. He also assisted companies with the implementation of carbon assessments and the development of emission reduction pathways at Aktio. At Vertigo Lab, he focuses on subjects related to ecosystem services assessment and environmental forecasting.
