EXPERTISE
Agrivoltaics
Developing relevant agrivoltaic projects requires reconciling agricultural production, energy production, and territorial dynamics.
Vertigo Lab supports stakeholders at every stage: analyzing agricultural systems, conducting preliminary agricultural studies (EPA), identifying conditions for complementarity, and then formalizing projects through agrivoltaic descriptive notices that meet regulatory requirements.
At the same time, we equip local stakeholders: communities, farmers, project leaders, to understand the issues, assist in decision-making, and promote the emergence of coherent projects rooted in the territories.
Our services
Preliminary Agricultural Study (PAS)
Vertigo Lab analyzes the agricultural characteristics of the territory concerned by the project: production systems, dynamics of farms, and local economic issues. This step allows for an objective assessment of the interactions between the agrivoltaic project and agricultural activity.
We conduct the preliminary agricultural study (EPA) to identify the potential impacts of the project on farms, agricultural sectors, and the local economy, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Our analyses identify opportunities for complementarity between agricultural production and energy production, in order to promote agrivoltaic projects that are consistent with the agricultural dynamics of the region.
Continuing from this analysis, we assist in formalizing the project through the drafting of the agrivoltaic descriptive notice. This notice concretely reflects the choices made in the study: integration of installations, agricultural management methods, guarantees for maintaining production, and monitoring systems.
The notice is a key element of regulatory files and dialogue with stakeholders. It demonstrates the coherence of the project, its compatibility with agricultural activity, and its alignment with agronomic and territorial performance.
All the elements we provide facilitate dialogue with local actors and authorities.
Training and awareness
Vertigo Lab supports communities, farmers, and territorial actors to better understand the issues and conditions for the success of agrivoltaic projects.
Through our training sessions and awareness workshops, we provide insights into regulatory frameworks, economic models, and the agricultural, territorial, and environmental impacts of these projects. The goal is to share a common knowledge base to inform decisions and facilitate dialogue among stakeholders.
Our interventions are based on feedback from field experiences, concrete case studies, and collective discussion sessions, in order to identify opportunities as well as points of caution for the territory.
This skills development enables local stakeholders to approach agrivoltaic projects in an informed and objective manner, to structure their positions, and to actively participate in the construction of projects that are consistent with agricultural and territorial dynamics.
