Study on the potential for economic diversification in New Caledonia
Context
Identifying sustainable economic alternatives and supporting the ecological transition of New Caledonia.
In a context of health, economic, and ecological crises, it seemed appropriate to engage in reflection on economic diversification for New Caledonia to reduce the pressures on its natural capital and make the economy and society more resilient.
Analyzing promising sectors in New Caledonia
This project was funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), along with WWF and ADEME.

Our study consisted of:
- Analyzing the economic, social, and environmental situation of the territory;
- Identifying more sustainable alternative economic sectors;
- Building a roadmap with local stakeholders to evolve the economy.
