Diversifying Gironde agriculture in the face of climate change
Dans le cadre de l’appel à projets de l’ADEME « Accompagnement des agriculteurs face au changement climatique », le groupement de partenaires composé de la Chambre d’Agriculture de Gironde et de Nouvelle-Aquitiane, de France Olive, de la FP CUMA 33 et 47, du PETR Grand Libournais, et de Vertigo Lab a déposé un projet visant à accompagner les agriculteurs du territoire dans la diversification de leurs exploitations.
In the face of the challenges posed by climate change and the wine crisis affecting the Gironde region, the RECOLTE project aims to: support operators in the region wishing to develop an olive growing workshop, assist in the development of a structured and profitable sector, build technical references based on a pilot group of farmers.

Produce a diagnosis to guide a sustainable transition in olive growing
Vertigo Lab is responsible for Component A of the project: the assessment of the territory and sectors. An initial socio-economic diagnosis, climate projection work, and an analysis of carbon storage potential are planned. This initial assessment work will define a reference scenario from which the project's effects will be evaluated. These elements will then serve as decision-making tools for the future development and deployment of the olive growing sector in Gironde.
Vertigo Lab will also contribute to Component B: Individual and collective support. This includes measuring the socio-economic and environmental impacts of the established olive growing workshops.
