Context
Understanding the socio-economic footprint of a professional federation on the national territory and its influence on the rural world
Eliance members have been companies specialized in consulting, genetic selection, and animal reproduction, working for 70 000 breeders with the goal of improving the quality, performance, and sustainability of their livestock.
The need focused on measuring and valuing the socio-economic footprint of these 112 members at the heart of rural areas, by objectifying their direct contributions as well as their ripple effects.

A detailed analysis of economic effects and territorial dynamics
Vertigo Lab quantified the socio-economic impacts to assess its footprint (wealth creation, added value, supported jobs), then analyzed the multiplier effects, in other words, the chain impact of spending and its redirection towards the local economy. The catalytic effects were also studied, meaning the evaluation of spillover effects that go beyond the direct and immediate results of its activity, in order to highlight the positive spillover effects on sectors and regions.
In terms of methodology, we have utilized our ImpacTer tool for the evaluation of socio-economic impacts (data collection, processing, analysis, extrapolation at the network level); built an impact pathway, conducted interviews to characterize catalytic effects through the 10 representative structures; designed detailed sheets on the selected indicators, how to manage them, how to go further, and an Excel file to track these indicators.

The mission highlighted the structuring and key role of Eliance, while shedding light on the ripple effects on sectors and territories. It also provided a communication and influence support to bolster Eliance's strategy and its exchanges with institutional partners.

An adaptation of our ImpacTer evaluation tool to the challenges of a multi-sector federation was carried out, with the ability to structure a clear and impactful narrative, blending key figures and qualitative effects in service of rural territories.
