Mobilize a robust methodology to quantify the impacts of cycling

service

The study was entrusted to Vertigo Lab, which conducted a survey among French local authorities, then estimated the budgets allocated to cycling.

This approach allowed for a detailed analysis of the economic, social, and environmental effects of strengthening cycling infrastructure, integrating both local dynamics, well-being gains, and climate impacts.

Useful results to guide local cycling policies

BENEFITS

The work carried out helps inform public decisions by clarifying the relationship between cycling expenditures and impacts on the local economy, employment, quality of life, and emission reductions.

By quantifying these impacts, the study provides structuring arguments in favor of increasing cycling investments and supports local authorities in defining ambitious strategies.
