Support on a biodiversity strategy for the Beaumanoir ready-to-wear group
Context
The environmental impact of the ready-to-wear sector
The fashion industry has a significant environmental impact, particularly with the rise of "fast fashion."
This consumption model is characterized by the mass production of low-cost clothing with a short lifecycle, and is regularly accused of fueling polluting overproduction, generating astronomical amounts of textile waste, and depleting natural resources such as water, soil, and ecosystems.
The Beaumanoir group, which has a portfolio of mass-market brands, faces challenges in securing its supply chain, meeting investor demands, and aligning with regulations concerning nature.
Beaumanoir aims to broaden its environmental scope beyond climate issues by fully integrating questions related to nature and biodiversity.
service
Structuring a biodiversity strategy for a ready-to-wear group
Vertigo Lab supported the group in assessing the main impacts on nature and aligning with regulatory requirements, particularly within the framework of the CSRD.
This support allowed for the definition of the main pillars of the group's Nature strategy and for prioritizing action items in line with its operational and sectoral challenges.
An integrated action plan was co-constructed with the various brands of the group to ensure concrete implementation aligned at all levels.
Finally, specific support was provided for the nature strategy of the sub-brand "Bonobo."
BENEFITS
A nature strategy with tangible effects
We helped the Beaumanoir ready-to-wear group create a Biodiversity strategy that moves from theoretical framework to an actionable roadmap.
The + Vertigo Lab
A capacity to translate biodiversity requirements (CSRD, dependencies, and impacts) into an operational multi-brand strategy, tailored to the realities of fashion.
