In 2021, the PETR of the Saint-Brieuc region was preparing the new Local Development strategy led by Local Actors (DLAL) of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (FEAMPA) 2021-2027.

An economic and territorial diagnosis to guide local policies
The Vertigo Lab team assessed the weight and socio-economic impacts of blue economy sectors in the Saint-Brieuc region and in Côtes d'Armor using the ImpacTer tool.
The objective was to have a snapshot at time "t" of the weight of local maritime activities and to calculate employment, value-added, and income multipliers. Consulting key stakeholders helped to complete this diagnosis by identifying development potentials.

This study thus contributes to a better understanding of local dynamics of the blue economy in Saint-Brieuc, linking economic analysis and territorial foresight. This analysis provided institutional and socio-professional stakeholders with visibility on the socio-economic impacts of the blue economy to facilitate coordination of future actions.
