Socio-economic Study of Biomimicry Development in New Aquitaine
Context
Positioning New Aquitaine as a Pilot Territory for Biomimicry
In the face of energy challenges and climate change, drawing inspiration from the functioning of living systems to innovate responsibly represents a major lever for economic development.
As part of this commitment, a partnership was signed between the Region and the European Center of Excellence in Biomimicry of Senlis (CEEBIOS) to make New Aquitaine a pilot region in this area.
Vertigo Lab supported CEEBIOS and the region in conducting a socio-economic study that included several axes:
service
Conduct a territorial socio-economic study on the potential of biomimicry in New Aquitaine, using ImpacTer, a tool developed by Vertigo Lab that allows for precise analysis of socio-economic impacts at the territorial level;
Anticipate working groups to create synergies;
- Outline a training program to raise awareness and inspire various regional stakeholders.
- Structure the sustainable regional development of biomimicry
- The mission aimed to transform an identified potential into a structured dynamic.
BENEFITS
By combining socio-economic analysis, networking of actors, and reflection on training, the region, thanks to Vertigo Lab, had concrete tools to bring forth projects inspired by living systems and strengthen its strategic positioning.
