Study on reducing the biodiversity footprint of companies "Committed to Nature" from 4 economic sectors
Context
Reduce the biodiversity footprint of economic sectors
As part of the national plan for biodiversity preservation stemming from the "Committed to Nature" initiative, the OFB aimed to support 4 priority sectors (buildings and materials, agri-food, energy, chemistry) to reduce their biodiversity footprint.
The objective of this mission was to conduct a study for each sector focusing on the main levers, obstacles, methods of action, and support to significantly reduce their impacts on biodiversity.
service
Structure a comprehensive analysis by sector
For this mission, Vertigo Lab was appointed as the lead of a consortium with Utopies and Ceebios.
Each sector study was organized around three complementary stages.
- The first stage involved an assessment aimed at structuring a global vision of the sector, its key players, its challenges and impacts on biodiversity, as well as existing and potential initiatives.
- The second stage focused on analyzing the mobilizable levers to reduce the impact of each sector on biodiversity and an associated feasibility study, allowing for the prioritization of levers in light of the OFB's mission.
- Finally, a third stage aimed to build a strategic roadmap, co-constructed with the OFB and its partners to guide the OFB's actions in supporting each sector.
BENEFITS
Transform the analysis into operational tools for companies "Committed to Nature"
A breakdown of the action typology from the Committed to Nature program – act4nature France was created to amplify the program's actions.
The mission also included the creation of a guide for each sector for the committed companies.
