The study "Measuring Biodiversity and Assessing Ecosystem Services of Restored Environments" conducted by the Biotope group, brgm, and Vertigo Lab for the RECORD network has just been made public.
Following a synthesis of French and European regulatory texts related to biodiversity restoration, this report offers a review of the main indicators that allow for measuring the key functions of ecosystems as well as ecosystem services. The study focuses on two major types of restored environments: wetlands and grassland areas. It then proposes a selection grid of indicators to evaluate and monitor the impact of restoration measures. Finally, the developed methodology is tested on three restoration case studies (from members of RECORD).
