The goal of CIDUV was to estimate the socio-economic and environmental impacts of an increase in spending by French local authorities to catch up with the country's lag behind other European states regarding the share of cycling in transportation.
Mobilize a robust methodology to quantify the impacts of cycling

The study was entrusted to Vertigo Lab, which conducted a survey among French local authorities, then estimated the budgets allocated to cycling.
This approach allowed for a detailed analysis of the economic, social, and environmental effects of strengthening cycling infrastructure, integrating both local dynamics, well-being gains, and climate impacts.
Useful results to guide local cycling policies
