Structuring an Environmental Strategy for a large construction group
In line with its decarbonization strategy, the FAYAT Group aims to structure a more comprehensive environmental approach to anticipate the requirements of the CSRD by 2028.
Given the diversity of its activities (construction, industry, equipment) and the multiplicity of its subsidiaries, the main challenge lies in the ability to define a coherent and unifying environmental strategy. This strategy must address key themes such as water, biodiversity, pollution, and ultimately, the circular economy, while taking into account the operational realities specific to each sector.

Analyze environmental risks and dependencies and build a strategy
Vertigo Lab is currently supporting the Group with a structured approach in 2 complementary phases that combine strategic analysis and operational grounding.
The first phase aims to establish an operational understanding of environmental dependencies and risks. The approach is distinguished by an analysis centered on the concrete realities of activities (material flows, site locations, value chain), which allows for the identification of key vulnerability points (water, soil, biodiversity, pollution), the detection of critical links, and the prioritization of issues with high business and environmental impact.
The second phase will deepen and operationalize these initial results based on physical and accounting data. It involves a detailed assessment of the environmental impacts and dependencies of activities, developing indicators aligned with the requirements of the CSRD, and co-constructing an action plan. This work will then lead to the development of a Group environmental strategy, designed to be gradually deployed across all subsidiaries.
Three pilot subsidiaries from different sectors (road machinery, building, public works) serve as testing grounds.
