Support for FAYAT group's CSRD compliance in the construction sector
Context
Transforming CSRD into a strategic lever for a construction group
For a group like Fayat, complying with the CSRD represents a major challenge: its activities (construction, infrastructure, materials) are indeed highly exposed to environmental and social challenges. The directive is not just a simple reporting exercise: it allows for better management of key issues such as carbon emissions, biodiversity, resource management, and the value chain.
It also represents a strategic lever. In public markets as well as with financiers, demonstrating strong environmental performance becomes a decisive criterion. A proactive approach to the CSRD thus allows for anticipating requirements, securing contracts, and transforming a regulatory constraint into an effective management tool.

Deploying CSRD compliance at the group level
The objective of the mission is to support the group in its compliance with the CSRD through a pilot mission involving 4 divisions: Buildings, Public Works, Cleantech, and Road Equipment.
The mission consists of several structured steps, carried out jointly with the company kShuttle:
- The first step involved conducting a double materiality analysis, assessing both Fayat's impact on the environment (social, economic, natural) and the impact of the environment on Fayat, through stakeholder consultations within the group.
- The second step is based on conducting a gap analysis between the group's current reporting and the requirements of the CSRD. This step has allowed for defining relevant indicators to track progress in CSR.
- The third step aims to prepare the non-financial reporting deployed under the CSRD, including support for harmonizing definitions and indicators across the group while ensuring regulatory compliance.
BENEFITS
Structuring a robust and operational non-financial reporting
This approach allowed for the structuring of a coherent reporting framework, aligned with European regulatory requirements, while enhancing the group's ability to manage its environmental impacts and risks.
It also provided a consolidated view across the different divisions, facilitating decision-making and the integration of sustainability issues into operations.
